My work ain't up to standard, and its really beginning to worry me. I keep telling myself "I'm gonna study, I'm gonna study" but I don't, and its rather silly, cause I know that if I start now, I might just do really well. But then again, I've done this before, and it never worked. How now?

Away with that. I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm gonna say it again. I'm becoming more caring.. so much more caring than before, but so much meaner than before. Elaboration:

"So much more caring": Before, I never asked "Are you okay?" and really meant it from the bottom of my heart.. Now, I'm actually meaning it, and I really feel rather uncomfortable being so nice... I have no idea why. I mean, its a good thing, but I feel that I'm straying further away from who and what I want to be.

Another thing I've realised.. Everyone, take note: If I ever ask you if you're okay or whatever and look sincerely concerned, its because I really care. Still, the fake "Are you okay?"s still come once in a while, but that doesn't mean I don't care about you. It just means that I'm not very interested.

One reason why I don't like myself asking "Are you okay?". Its silly, because even if the answer is a 'yes', I might not be able to do anything about it, and asking that question will be subjecting myself to trouble. Not trouble in that way, but trouble as in.. Troublesome, kind of trouble. If I'm confusing you, don't panic. I didn't organise this well.

"So much meaner than before": I worship this phrase "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." I used to try my best to never "suan" people. Now, however, I seem to be doing that more than ever, with hardly a care as to what others will feel. I feel terrible, and I feel like a violater(spelling?) of that golden rule. :(

Shush!

Switching topics.. I was on the bus that day, and I suddenly thought of something that really cracked me up then, and I nearly laughed aloud on the bus.

crap = poop(the spiralled one)

Therefore, I can safely say that:

Cut the crap = cut the poop(the spiralled one)

Imagine it! I'm sure its a teensy bit funny, if not very.

Oh, oh oh! I've got a terrible breakout of pimples... There's a huge one on my nose. :( And so! I've decided to try oxy out. In desperation. Being the vain pot that I am.

The cream... really works! Its really... visible results, not in hours, but in an hour! It doesn't vanish completely, of course. I thought I saw the lumps go down, so I just couldn't help but wash the stuff off my face to get a better view of what was happening on my face.

I was right! The lumps did go down, and it all happened in nearly less than an hour! Amazing results. I'm gonna apply it again tonight. :D

I need black tops that hug my body nicely! I know I sound like a big fat show-off when I say that, but trust me, I look horrendous in things that are tight at some parts and loose in the others. I need them sleeveless, or even with sleeves, but they must be long... no razorbacks.

If you ever see them, TELL ME! Make sure they're as plain as possible. And cheap. Or reasonably priced. Thanks in advance. :)

I'm bored. I might just take a night stroll later.. Its mooncake festival.

OH MY! Beautiful! My dream comes true! I've always wanted a night when the streetlights aren't on, and everything's dark.. And it has come true! I feel like crying now. I have no idea why.

Tired. And warm. The moon's beautiful. Happy mooncake festival, everyone.

Thursday, September 08, 2005

Well! Its been really ages(this opening sounds utterly familiar.) since I last blogged. I don’t even think I blogged about going to Shenzhen and Hong Kong for a week, five and two days respectively, frm the 1st to the 7th of September. Went to Hong Kong for the first day, then on the second day, we moved to Shenzhen for 4 nights, and finally back to Hong Kong on the sixth day, leaving on the seventh.

The first night, after we touched down, we had dinner at a local restaurant. Honestly honestly.. I don’t remember what we had. *blinks and grins* Anyways, I remember something about the food there being pretty good.. OH! I remember now! We went to a halal restaurant, and we had some pretty cool food! I, together with Ying, a really nice girl(really.), forced everyone to finish the vegetables so we wouldn’t fall sick. Whether or not we finished it, I cannot remember.

Then we hopped over to Temple and Ladies’ Street! That was the first time we had ‘free and easy’. Everyone was excited, and were just dying to spend our money. And we heard that we could bargain, and everything there was actually twice the amount that it was reasonably worth! Well, I walked around with Berlyn, and we were pretty shy to actually bargain, cause we’ve never done that. And, moreover, my Cantonese sucks big time.

So! The first night was fun, and I spent lotsa money needlessly cause I didn’t bargain much. Later, we moved to the student’s hostel and we were to spend the night there. I was trying on my new stilettos and when I had one on, my friend, Amaliah, told me I had something on my shoulder. Out of the corner of my right eye, I saw this humungous brownish thing and I really freaked.

I covered my face with my hands and started laughing(when I’m scared, I usually laugh and cry at the same time.. Sometimes.), and I could hear it hissing and kinda crawling up towards my neck. Lucky thing my hair was tied up.Ying came into the room, and blurrily put her arms around me from behind and said “Its okay.. Don’t be scared, dear-dear.. Where is it?”

*Rofl* Amaliah told her, and she moved away slightly, though she wasn’t entirely scared like me. I could actually hear it hissing really loudly, and my friend kicked the door open from inside and asked this guy, Ben, to come in and get it off me. He picked up my stiletto and swung it up high before trying to get it off me with the shoe. Pretty comical.

But later, Yvfynn(an adult leader) came in and told me not to panic and just took it off me. She had some difficulties, though, since it was trying to crawl up, and the more she tried to get it off me, the more it hooked onto my clothings.

That night, I slept with Berlyn in the same bed. *shudders* I was really freaked, and paranoid.

Second day:
At night, we went to Dongmen and Old Street. It was right opposite our hotel and in one of the first few shops we went to, something really shocking happened! Being really open about everything, we get occasional slaps on the butt from our friends and such, but in one particular shop, there was this really girly girl in a pink shirt, and a “bu nan bu nu” person in a black shirt. I thought I saw boobs, but I wasn’t sure. And that person seemed to be a male, but female, too.

Anyways, while Berlyn and I were walking out, I got a slap on the butt(pretty bad aiming.. The person aimed somewhere around the top, where the bone was.) and I went “Oh!” in a very playful way. I turned, and I saw that “bu nan bu nu” person grinning at me! I raised my eyebrows and hurried out, ordering Ben to protect me, standing behind me all the while.

Then I told Berlyn and she said that the really girly girl spanked her on the butt too. Sqaurely. *lol* We were paranoid for a while, then we were okay again. That night was really fun. I stuffed my money everywhere, but S$50 was always in my bra. So I stuffed notes in my wallet, panties, bra and such… And I lost the HK$100 from my panties. My friend, Hou Chiat(Hao Jie) picked it up and was really disgusted when I told him it was from my panties. *lol*

Third day:
Morning call for everyone by Amaliah and I. Well, not everyone. Mostly the boys. All of them are pigs! Except for Hafiz and Fude. Room 721, Syakeer and Jeremiah, was really difficult to wake. We could stand there for 15 minutes hammering on their door, yelling at their door, and ringing the doorbell constantly, and they wouldn’t wake up. That was the start of Amaliah’s and my routine or waking up early every day to wake the boys up.

That day, Amaliah, Ying and Berlyn caught a fever and Amaliah and Berlyn got sent back to the hotel for a rest. Ying and I stayed, though. Later that day, we went to two Stationary and Toys wholesale markets and bought LOTSA stuff! Really fun.

Then, later that night, we went over to Jusco(they have that in Malaysia too!). Ying, Amaliah and I, were in a pretty moody mood, so we didn’t do much. All we did was walk around aimlessly before going to the supermarket to buy snacks and such.

Fourth day:
We went to Splendid China! Ying fell really sick and had to go to the hospital, and as she dreaded, was put on drip. Amaliah and I went to look at paper cuttings and we got our names made into Chinese poems! Which was really cool! It was actually written on “chat(lousy)” paper for RMB10 for each poem, but later, the guy just went on to write it on the really good parchment without our knowledge.

Then he went on to be really mean, and wrote another poem on another roll of parchment. I told him that we didn’t have enough to pay and such, but he didn’t listen and just began writing. I should have just walked out. After all, we’ve paid for the other things. That kinda like spoiled Amaliah’s and my mood.

Anyways, that was was really slacky, and we watched three performances introducing China’s rich culture. (Ying came back right before dinner, before the last performance after dinner.)Wow, their performers are GOOD! *giggles* Anyways, they had really wow bodies and reflexes. They were slender and lithe and dexterous and wow!

Fifth day:
We had an exchange programme and we found that the students there spoke Cantonese like we speak English. I mean, they’re supposed to use Chinese, but they speak Cantonese. But their Chinese is equally good. We attended their English lesson, and it was nothing like Singapore’s. When they learnt English, the teacher taught them using the topic “healthy”. So it was “How to be healthy”. So it was really like a healthy education lesson.

My buddy was really really nice, and they’re really different from what I expected. I expected them to be really girly and annoying, but they weren’t. But they aren’t used to open “intimacy”. When I gave two of them hugs, they did it kinda awkwardly, like they didn’t dare to touch their bodies to ours.

Then, at night, we went over to Luohu commercial city. Very busy and messy. There were hundreds of shops! But Ying, Yushan(some guy) and I weren’t in entirely good spirits, so we walked out of the building and sat down at a huge staircase where we bitched and such till 8.30pm, and stopped, before talking crap till about 9.20pm for we were supposed to meet back at 9.30pm in the shopping centre.

That was the last night we spent in Shenzhen.

Sixth day:
As usual, I woke up really early even though I stayed up late for the first time during the trip. Amaliah didn’t wake up when I tried to wake her, and I did so many times. So she missed the last day we could have woken the people up, and I did it alone that day.

We went back to Hong Kong by coach, and that day, I skipped breakfast, had a little lunch, and I skipped dinner because I was really upset(together with a few other girls), and I honestly honestly felt like merlioning. The feeling got worse when we were back at the student hostel, thanks to the driver, who drived as though he went motorcycle racing every night.

That night was like Valentine’s day. Girls were receiving presents from guys and it was really odd. Really.

Seventh and last day:
We had breakfast in school, which I kinda skipped too, cause I still felt pretty merlionish and we went to this Business Information centre before going over to the airport before leaving for Singapore in SQ861.

During the launch, I was told by this guy to get limited edition Snoopy and Spongebob stuff from the SIA planes, but during the plane ride there, I decided not to, since I had no use for soft toys.

Then on the trip back, Ying and I were sitting together, and for some odd reason, these two air stewards dumped two snoopy soft toys on us, one each. The one behind the guy who gave us the stuff placed a finger on his lips and went ‘shh’. Ying and I were so tickled we just started laughing(bimbotically, not to mention).

During the plane ride, I was passing messages to two guys behind me, in a notebook. Then when they replied, then handed it back to me(you get the idea.) Then this air steward looked directly at me and gave me seven numbers. I quickly wrote the number down in the notebook.

Ying and I were like “huh!?!?” and we tried figuring out what the numbers were. I felt like I was in one of Dan Brown’s books. Anyways, a while later, the air steward who gave us the snoopy stuff served us Haagen Daazs ice cream, or however you spell it.. I forgot. Ying and I looked around, and found that nobody had it. We were… shocked. Again. We thought we were the only ones with ice cream. But in actual fact, we were just served –first-. *giggles*

Then the same air steward came and served us stuff, like drinks and such, and Ying and I asked him what the numbers were. He said “Sounds like a phone number to me.” He paused and then asked with a teasing smile “Did you tell him that you were underaged!?” Ying and I burst out laughing.

Anyways, later, the air steward(not sure which one now) dumped three Spongebob notepad thinggies on Ying and I. We gave the extra to Berlyn. We, once again, laughed.

Finally, the guy who went ‘shh’ dumped a bag half full of Snoopy and Spongebob soft toys on Ying and I, and we hurriedly split it. Then we asked if we could keep the blankets(they’re awesome!). The air steward looked incredulously at us, and looked as though he was gonna refuse, but he said “Yes, but you should get one with the plastic. I’ll get one for you.” He said that to Ying. My plastic was still on.

He didn’t get it for her, but then again, that was cause he was too busy and most likely slipped his mind. It was a wonderful trip, and I felt like merlioning really badly during the turbulence. I really did. It was far worse than the previous night. This time, it actually came out, but I stopped it just in time. And my tummy was really uncomfortable. Not painful, though.

And on the way out, because my bag was outta space for the blanket and Spongebob notepad thinggy, I held it in my arms and the aid stewardess grinned at me. My friends stared at Ying and I enviously and said “Hey, how come you all got? We asked, then they say that its for children only.”.

I love SIA! And their staff! They’re all so nice! Ying’s writing into the newspaper forums for them. She got all their names:D
